OXO Innovation Partners With World Press Freedom Canada As Official French Language Translator
Montréal, Quebec – July 19, 2024 – OXO Innovation, a fast-rising player in the global content industry, is proud to announce its partnership with World Press Freedom Canada (WPFC). OXO will serve as the official French language translator for WPFC, reinforcing the critical message of press freedom and its role in defending democracy.
World Press Freedom Canada, incorporated as a non-profit in 2008, is dedicated to advocating for press freedom and the safety of journalists. The organization, also known as the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom, grew out of the Ottawa-based National Press Club’s Press Freedom Day Committee. This partnership with OXO Innovation will allow WPFC to effectively communicate its mission and initiatives to French-speaking communities across Canada and beyond.
“We are grateful for OXO Innovation’s support of our advocacy work for press freedom and the role it plays in our democracy,” says WPFC president Heather Bakken. “The expertise it offers in Canadian French will ensure our message resonates from one end of the country to the other in both official languages.”
OXO Innovation’s unique consultative approach and capacity to deliver beyond expectations make them an ideal partner for WPFC. OXO’s customized and scalable solutions support clients at every step of their globalization journey, from planning and implementing content strategies to measuring localization ROI.
“We are honoured to support World Press Freedom Canada in their mission,” said Charles Lesperance, CEO and President of OXO Innovation. “Accurate and accessible communication is vital in advocating for press freedom, and we are committed to helping WPFC spread their message and uphold the values of democracy.”
Through this collaboration, OXO Innovation and WPFC aim to highlight the importance of the right to free expression and the safety of journalists, ensuring that crucial messages about democracy and human rights reach diverse audiences across linguistic divides.
